Jigs

Jigging type lures are usually used when fishing from a boat vertically into a school of fish or while ice fishing, but some can also be used by casting and retrieving them and "jigging" them off the bottom to attract the fish. They can mimic minnows or other aquatic creatures that are food sources for fish.
